1999 Renault Megane right hand indicator stoppng when braking

when I brake to slow down to turn right with my right indicator on, the indicator stops blinking. When I take my foot off the brake it starts working again. Is this there a short somewhere. thanks.

Check the earth wire on rear right lamp housing.

I had the same problem when I had a Megane. The wire points that connected to the light clusters that hold the brake, reverse and fog lights had eroded. To fix the problem I stripped the old points off and fitted new ones.

if you have recently fitted a new bulb in brake
light or indicator that will be problem (wrong
bulb)
