2001 Renault Megane problems starting car

HELP my megan is causing me some problems in the past 2 days its decided to stop starting first time. I try and turn it over and all I get is a clicking sound sometimes its starts others it does the above ive also noticed when the clicking starts sometines it also activates my hazzard lights battery check says thats ok but car just wont turn over took it for petrol today started ok at house got fuel went to turn over key and all I got was ckicking car bump starts ok any ideas as I need my car

It could be a number of thing,s from charging issue,to wiring issue, would start by checking the battery first you will require a multi meter to do this ,should be 12volts or above.

Check connections at starter and also worthwhile checking earth from the bodywork to the engine / gearbox . A good battery should normally be between 12.4 to 12.6v at rest .

sounds like either bad connection on starter motor or just a faulty starter motor itself if you have had battery tested
