1998 Renault Megane loss of 1st and 2nd. all other gears working, idling rough now

Loss of 1st and 2nd gears. All other gears working, idling rough now.
Have had it up in the air, and can select 1st and 2nd if I use the reverse lifter and carefully select the gears.
When under the car I can select the gears fine with the gear linkage and pushing the spring in.
Any ideas how to fix?

probably gear selector linkages dunno why the rough idle tho
