2006 Renault Megane steering fault

first check power steering fluid level ,is it empty ,if it is you have fluid leak ,could be from steering rack, or pipes, or unions, inspect all if you dont have power steering fluid at correct level very expensive damage will be done to pump and rack hundreds of pounds inspect urgently if you must drive and you have a leak keep topping up steering reservoir !!!!!!~!

As that car has electric power steering pump (EPS), check alternator output .But (EPS)is now a common failure resulting in intermittent and eventually full loss of steering assistance.

10 days have passed without this erroer, but I have noticed small twitches on steering wheel that sometimes when going in reverse.
What does it mean, Do I have to change whole EPS system or what.
And is it safe to drive like this or I must go to service ASAP.

Ok, and this is what happened after.

i was derivin fao a wook or two and than servo died.

Solution change whole steering column. This is very expensive piece so if some one has the sam e problem try to find second hand steering column.
