2011 Renault Fluence tail gatte/boot does not stay closed

The tail gate/boot lid will not stay closed. It will pop open while driving and also when the car is parked at rest. The dealership that we bought the car from has lost its franchise and the nearest dealer is about two hours drive away.

Anyone other than a Renault dealer , yourself included , carrying out repairs will invalidate your warranty .Contact Renault customer services and see if they can help .
