2000 Renault Clio starter motor not working but only when engine is hot. poss electrical!

Car: Renault Clio
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.3
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The starter motor will not turn over when engine is hot. Its fine when starting from cold but if the car has been running is hot, then it will just not start and is completly dead. If we let it cool for a couple of hours then its fine again. We have called the AA a couple of times when out and they think its the electrical connection to the starter motor. They have changed the contact but not been able to do much else. Anyone any advice that doesnt involve getting a new starter Motor? Thanks
