2000 Renault Clio cutting out

Car: Renault Clio
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.8 Auto Alize
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
From time to time when you are stationary at traffic lights the engine cuts out, although when you put the car in park and restart it starts up straight away, I have had a diagnostic and no fault showed up. This car is Automatic.

When you wait in traffic do you leave it in D?

Try putting it in N when you are stationary - this might prevent the stalling as it takes the load of the engine.

Also saves a drop of fuel and helps it run cooler too.

Cheers
