2003 Renault Clio light coming on dashboard, looks like a coil ?

when driving,a yellow light which looks like a coil comes on,the car looses power then picks up again and keeps doing this.
this problem has been checked out at the garage before on the diagnostic machine but has come up with no faults.

This indicates that you have an engine management system fault. A fault code/s will be stored in the memory of the ECU . You need to take the vehicle to a garage with proper equipment to have the fault codes read by a computer (scanner)otherwise just guessing on many possible causes
