1999 Renault Clio slowing when petrol low

Car: Renault Clio
Year: 1999
Variant: 1.2 grande
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
When my petrol is about 2-3 points away from the red it randomally starts to slow,it feels like the car is being pulled back. The petrol warning light isn't on so it shouldn't be because I am seriously low of petrol.

It seems to happen more when I have pulled away fast (ex roundabout) or approaching the motorway.

Thank you for any help.

May not be a fuel fault ,could be an intermittent misfire caused by plugs ,leads , coil pack etc.Either that or it could be a fault inside the tank , blocking the fuel pump pickup or filter itself.
