2001 Renault Clio loss of power

Car: Renault Clio
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.2 Expression
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My daughter's clio is not running correctly, it seems to be miss firing but starts without a problem. The diagnostics say it's the crankshaft sensor but it said this before and it wasn't. Could this sensor cause the probelm or could it just be plugs or leads?

Thanks Legend.

Do you think it could be the sensor?

I plan to take off the HT leads one at a time to see if one cylinder isn't working, do you have any other ideas how to check?

The crankshaft sensor problems are usually associated more with starting .You can test leads with an ohm meter , but if not available ,look for any sign of tracking / burning on leads or dampness / oil / dirt on. plug porcelain .Hope this helps .
