1996 Renault Clio ivc vavle

hi i have a problem with starting my clio , when i first start it it will not tick ok i have changed the cold start sensor still did the same , now just take out the ivc valve cleaned with carb cleaner and gave it a clean but now it over revs took it back out and the spring does not move in anyway is this wright or do i need a new one thanks mark

Probably needs resetting after working on it , see here ,

turn it on and off to the first ignition stage about 10 times and try turning it to the first stage and pressing and letting off the throttle about 10 times to it needs to be reset

Just to add , some suggest disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes to reset the ECU also sometimes fixes it .
