2002 Renault Clio engine coolant stop light going on and off while driving

the stop light and the engine coolant light comes on while driving but only for a few seconds then goes off , i phoned the renault dealer they told me not to drive it until it was checked ,so i had the aa check it but they coudnt find any faults but after they went the heater would not blow hot air could you suggest any thing i could try

If coolant level o.k , try bleeding cooling system .
