1998 Renault Clio strange noise

When driving there is a quiet whistling/ squeaking noise which appears to be coming from outside. Also when the clutch is depressed there is a vibrating noise similiar to a vacuum cleaner. No loss of performance etc. Any ideas ?

sounds like could be your thrust bearing (clutch bearing)
