1997 Renault Clio adjusting auto box gear linkage

car will not start in park or neutral(all electrics in good order):- started as intermitant fault now won't start at all, according to hanyes manual adjustment to linkage is required haynes instructions & diagrams show how (suposedly a dead easy job) but there doesn't seem to actually be an adjuster on the linkage, anyone any ideas ?

disconect cable from selector switch(gearbox end)move switch to end (park)see if it starts.this will proove if its adjustment

Checked inhibitor switch ?
