2000 Renault Clio ver poor fuel economy

My daughters clio x reg, has appalling fuel economy. We did get part of the exhaust replaced which has improved it a bit but for a small car it is still poor. The car is not driven fast honestly.

hi any idea when car last serviced??? is car misfiring not firing on all cylinders. are tyre pressures ok??

Might be worthwhile getting car serviced / checked over / tune up , especially if not been done for a while .Could also check the air filter is o.k. firstly , as a dirty / partially blocked filter will cause this .
