2003 Renault Clio turns over but wont start

My clio starts up fine in the morning but towards the end of the day after I have stopped & started it a few times in shuts down & just turns over. It's at the Renault garage now & they have not got a clue what the problem is. They have replaced the tdr sensor, put a new battery on, spark plugs and coil pack on and it's still not fixed. Plus the ecu light and electrical lights are on contstantly.

is it petrol or diesel engine?

sounds like it's the tdc sensor
