Possibly clutch fault ? Especially if it's affecting all gears .Not sure whether that year / model has hydraulic or cable clutch .

Hi and thank you for your input. I was told by the garage I bought the car from that it had just had a clutch put in by himself.

HELP!!!

If it has a clutch cable , check / fit new cable .If it has a hydraulic clutch , check there are no leaks at master cyl and slave cyl . Could try bleeding if hydraulic clutch .If still having problems , go to another garage for second opinion in case fault is in the clutch that was fitted . Other thing to check / change is gearbox oil level .
