2007 Renault Clio boot problem

At the weekend, i was doing getting some stuff out my kit bag and didnt notice my top part of the kit bag hanging over the boot when i shut it, then when i went to re open the boot it has become jammed, it opens slightly, we have gone through the back seats and can see that the material has been trapped in the lock. we need a way to get the plastic boot trim off so we can get to the lock.
any ideas how??

The trim clips are on top so if the boot is closed you will not be able to take it of without damage to the trim you will probably have to cut as much of the material of then with someone holding the boot up to take the wait off the lock try to pick out the rest of the material, it has probably raped itself around the lock so it could be time consuming.
