2016 Renault Clio central locking not working

Had the issue of the car not starting, says turn steering wheel and press start, but can barely turn the wheel, after jiggling it about for a period of time, it unlocks,
this is happening alot more frequently and I have paid out a fortune, but still no garage has resolved it.( booked in with renault, but 1st available appt isnt for 3 months) looking at the renault forums others seem to have the same issue? Did anyone find a resolution .
had new key and card reader done, as one garage said it was that 6-12mths later issue is still ongoing so it clearly wasn't anything to do with key or card reader.

A low car battery can cause this , especially if not used much or for short journeys . Might be worth getting battery load tested , charged if o.k or replaced if original and weak
