2001 Renault Clio oilcan and stop light flickering on and off when idle

this problem only occurs when i have driven the car for 5 plus miles (when it is warmed up) when i come to stop at a junction or lights the oilcan and stop lights are rapidly flickering on the dashboard but they go off when you start driving again any ideas anyone also the speedo is only working to please itself some days not at all

regarding the oil problem check the oil level and top up if required if no oil is required then may require a oil and filter change as the oil may have lost its viscosity

the oil doesnt need topping up do you think it is safe to drive whilst it is doing this ?

well wouldnt really recommend it as you still have the oil light problem that need attention asap as will lead to engine failure ie oil starvation where it needs the oil so if you can get the car booked in to the garage and have it resolved
