Just clicking when key turned

When I try to start it, it just clicks, engine doesn't turn at all

Ok if battery is ok ,starter is clicking ,but not fully engaging ,sounds like starter is sticking ,try chapping it lightly with a hammer see if that frees it,if not possible starter req
