2002 Renault Clio rev counter temp gauge not working

I have a Clio 02 plate which has done 71k it's a 1.4 16v Dynamique.
Here's the issues, I need help with.
1. The rev counter revs for a few secs and then dies!
2. The temp gauge warms up and then dies!
Can someone guide me as what I can do to sort this please.

You could try changing the temp transmitter / sensor but that car also suffers from dash cluster faults which are similar to what you are getting .
