Heater plug light and loss of acceleration

After driving the car for about 10 mins, the heater light on the dash comes on. It will go off when I switch off, but after restarting,it will come on again after about 10mins. Next prob, whilst the heater light on, if I'm accelerating up to about 70mph, the car seems to tire and struggles to increase speed above 60.
I have also noted that the engine shakes as if it is misfiring . New plugs, oil and filters were fitted recently although the problem existed before the service was done.

could be faulty coil

You told me that the problem is a coil fault, where is the coil situated. Can you describe it for me.bob.

the coil will have four leads going into it and its bolted to mthe left of the engine(from memory!)

Get the codes read it will point you in the right direction without wasting time
