When head lights on brake lights blinkers slightly lighten. Head lights off brakes alright but blinkers glow

That's a bad earth in your rear cluster I would say, clean all the contacts including the bulbs, then clean wiring harness connector. If no joy try adding a temporary extra earth to see if it solves the issue
