Check gearbox on display

when car has been standing for a while or when cold start up and drive usually travelled about 1 mile when check gearbox warning comes on and the car goes into safety mode ie 2nd & 3rd gears only i usually drive a short distance then stop switch off engine for a short time restart and carry on driving and have no problem once car has warmed up has anyone had same problem

The only way you will get it solved is if you get a diagnostic scan carried out .
