Ignition wont turn off

All the dash warning lights continue to glow after I remove the ignition key. Worse than that - sometimes the engine continues to run. I can stop the engine by stalling it in gear or by pressing the foot brake (!!??). Pressing the footbrake turns off the dash lights (!!??).

Could be a faulty ignition switch or possibly a sticking relay .

Just another thought .Check all earths especially from engine to body .
