2004 Renault Clio new cd player not working

Got a new CD player from Halfords when I fitted it. But it won't turn on, tyres it in a friends and it worked Halfords said its faulty wiring but the factory standard CD player work please can anyone help and the fuses are fine

Check your main power is correct matching the power at your new unit normally red wire and there's normally a yellow wire which is to hold the memory on some vehicles you have to swap these around but as they are normally the fused wires it,s just a case of swapping the fuse holder parts over,hope this is your concern.
