poss wet leads caused missfire, dry out leads.
driving the car with missfire prob caused cat to overheat and block, thats prob why exhaust glows red .is there normal amount of pressure comeing out of back of exhaust? remove cat converter if lots of bits come out replace cat.make sure missfire sorted before driving with new cat.
