2000 Renault Clio multiple electric probs since cd player fitted

Had a cd player fitted on Sat. The guy from Halfords said there was no power getting through to one of the cables, so had to fit it through the ignition. Each time I turn the engine on/off I have to re-tune the radio and select the track on th CD.I have lost the clock and the temperature gauge. Hve you heard og this before? Thanks

take it straight back to halfords and speek to the manager it sounds like they have diverted power from the clocks etc to the radio but the memorey needs a permanant live hence having to re tune every time you turn the ignition on
