2002 Renault Clio car sounds as though driving in low gear even when in 5th (racing sound)

For the past couple of weeks my Clio has been making a constant sound as though I am driving in a low gear. This happens even when I am in 5th gear but is actually louder in 3rd gear.
On my journey to work, I have been driving short distances on dual carriage ways which means I have probably been going quite fast over short distances - didn't know if this has anything to do with the problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated before I take it to the garage.

I would say you probably have a wheel bearing thats failing hence the noise
