2003 Renault Clio no power at all

When I put key into ignition and turn there is no response at all, i.e. lights on dash do not come on, and car will not start. Do you know what the problem may be?

check the earth points under the bonnet are ok as these are common for losing there earths but you will require a new battery to body earth strap
