Engine revs to high and hard to start

Check / clean idle control valve and throttle body .

should have said before this fault earth strap broke so i made one up and put it on top of engine to iner wing then car went ok for a week.

Wouldn't do any harm to make sure your earth strap / cable from engine to inner wing valance is getting good clean connections .

Do you have any warning lights on the dash? My daughter had a similar problem in her 2001 Clio. Inside the bonnet just under the drivers side headlamp is a vacuum unit, the top kept coming off causing a similar problem to what you describe. It's very difficult to get at but you should be able to push it back on. You may have to take it off for a long term fix as there is a rubber seal which holds it all together.

hi i have a clio and these past few months it has been jumping as if its got no petrol and cuts out it hapens most times but now and agen it wont do it iv had rac out and they didnt no wot it was took it to a garage and they told me it was gear box but i thought they were just havin me on. pls help its doing my head in xx
