2004 Renault Clio clicking on drivers side

When ignition is turned on there is a clicking noise coming from the driver side. I think it is coming from behind the dash from a box marked renault calculator. It also happens when engine is running. Are these relays of some discription? What does this box do? Cheers

Sounds like a relay. Open up and see if you can hear better. Place your little finger on any suspect unit and you should feel the click. pull out and if the clicking stops you have the right one. It happened to me and I simply opout in a new one
