I HAVE A LAGUNA ON A P PLATE. JUST BEFORE THE EXTREME COLD WEATHER I STARTED THE CAR AND IT STARTED FIRST TIME AS ALWAYS, UNTIL THEN IT HAD STARTED EVERY TIME, ITS A DIESEL CAR.
THE MORNING OF THE FIRST FROST AND SNOW IT FAILED TO START AND DRAINED THE BATTERY, I TRIED JUMPING IT WITH NO LUCK AND THEN TRIED CHARGING THE BATTERY BUT STILL NO IGNITION. BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY STILL NO IGNITION. IT TURNS OVER FAST BUT NOTHING ELSE. IMMOBALISER IS OFF AS USUAL ONCE THE DOORS ARE UNLOCKED....... HELP. OH ITS GOT FUEL AND I MANUALLY PUMPED THE FUEL PUMP TO MAKE SURE

You had me worried with Renault 10 !!
French production of the 8 and 10 ceased in 1971 .
Getting back to problem , checked fuses ? are glow plugs o.k ?
