Pontiac Grand Am almost all dash lights came on, rpms went 2 0 and once the car was turned off it starts but then dies

I was driving down the rd and all of my dash lights came on except for my check engine light.. The rpms went to 0... Turned the car off when I got home and now it starts and then dies... Can someone please help with this???
