Condensation in trunk

I just purchased the car a couple of weeks ago and I noticed condensation on the trunk lid and I felt the mat in the trunk and it was soaked is there a quick and simple fix for this problem? It is starting to get a smell

all that i can suggest is if you can is dry it out using a fan heater or something like that and see how you go for a few days

Take the mat out and check if the drain plugs are not missing, may be getting water in from underneath when driving on wet roads etc. Dry the mats out and before installing sprinkle a bit of vanilla essence on them, this will take care of unpleasant oudours.
