2004 Peugeot 807 anti pollution fault

Car starts ok, but then dash beeps at me saying anti pollution fault and the engine management light comes on. Car has reduced power. Guy who we bought it from has washed his hands so we are having to try and sort this ourselves. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rather than guess at the many possible causes , get it scanned and see what codes are shown and why light is on .

i had this problem and replaced the o2 sensor and problem was cured as well as cleaning a few breather pipes hope this helps

Alo peugueot have An. Anti pollution filter and that filter hás to be changed within certain milage for example i have a 207 and that filter had to be changed át. 140 km and i also got the warning ligth no the dashboard
