2007 Peugeot 807 problem start chiggin when you take it to 30 mph

the car starts chugging when it reaches 30mph , then when you go up to 4th gear it starts chugging again when you get the car to 50mph . You can have your foot all the way to the floor on the accelerator and it doesnt seem to get much faster it just seems to continue to chug . All teh lights are working and dash board lights and the car starts alright so dont think its battery fault , it did it a couple weeks ago and we put that red stuff in the petrol tank and tht seemed to help but only for a little while then it started doing it again . I tried the same thing last night but it didnt help this time at all any information as to what it may be would be greatly appreciated .

sounds like its going into limp mode i would get it into a garage and put on a diagnostic machine which will tell you exactly what it is

Clogged fuel filter perhaps?

is that an expensive thing to get done clogged filters , i think that could be it i let the diesel run really low so could maybe be tht ?

My car has the same problem I've taken it to the garage and they put on the machine and came up clear on the fuel fillter 37% put there seems to be a problem with fuel pressure also found that the issue occurs in cold weather. I would check the breather pipe on the fuel tank to see if it blocked.
