Loss power
1984 Peugeot 505 sti

my peugeot, seems to idle perfectly well,it runs ok ( not perfect when it is cold)but when it is hot it has a lack of power, seems only to respond under low revs. when revs are increased the engine starts to splutter.
it is at a garage at the moment but the emchanics are at a loss

Replies and fixes

have them at the garage do a compression test on the engine just to eliminate rings if i have any other thoughts i will post here for you but would test compression first
