i was stopped i put into revere it then engine stalled and the gear box has locked up ,.dave

Could be selector mechanism , shifter cable or an internal fault . No easy answer without going through step by step . Made need scanning with suitable equipment for fault codes . If any local reputable , accredited auto trans specialist , they may advise better on possible known causes and costs for repair .
