1996 Peugeot 406 engine stutters when warm

Car: Peugeot 406
Year: 1996
Variant: 2 litre petrol with RFV engine
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The engine is fine when cold or when warming up however, when the engine gets up to normal running temperature it starts to miss and stutter on acceleration. There is no smoke from the exhaust or any backfiring so it seems like fuel starvation. I have replaced the MAP sensor, the Lambda/oxygen sensor and the idle control stepper motor but the problem persists.
The car is low mileage and uses hardly any oil between oil changes.

I have cured the problem.
Despite the engine temperature gauge reading within it's normal range I discovered that there was a lack of coolant. I topped up the coolant with water and antifreeze mixture and all is now fine.
Interesting to note that the engine coolant temperature gauge doesn't indicate any temperature rise due to a lack of coolant.
Very strange indeed.
