1998 Peugeot 406 cant find fuel cut off switch

my son put dirty deisel in my car and it started chugging and smoking for a day today it just stopped altogether and it wont start at all has the fuel cut off switch cut off and where can i locate it we have put a new filter on it still not starting

if it has one it will be under the bonnet on the passenger side near the suspension mount but i doubt it will be the problem as they are only supposed to operate in a crash etc. you will probably have to get the tank drained then bleed some new diesel through to the injectors
