I've borrowed my daughter's 406 to take her partner to hospital tomorrow as my daughter is working away, but unfortunately whilst driving this evening, adjusting the rear view mirror, it has come away from the window and I can't work out what holds in place, apart from a black glue.Has anyone had the same problem and have you a quick solution? Thanks

Not had that for a while , but if you go to Halfords or a good accessory shop they should be able to sort you out with mirror adhesive or mirror patch .

your best option here is wilkos for the window fixings as halfords are three times the price or a local motor factors in your area halfords is the last option here hope this helps but dont use super glue as the screen will crack

After a visit to Halfords and being offered drillable putty to attach the mirror. Further inspection in daylight, this mirror had obviously been broken before. With help from a Halford's customer, resolved the problem by re-using the black "Blu-Tak".for those who sent me solutions, thank you
very much.
