Engine working and switch off

Hi recently i have a problem with my car.When i start the engine is running and after one minute switch off when i start again is running but is running like on three cylinders and the indicator for the injection is on this always happen when i`m starting the engine cold.Any suggestions.

i am assuming it is a petrol. possible plug/coil fault but also may be hydraulic lifter problem

which hydraulic lifter you mean? What actually does this hydraulic lifter.Thanks

they allow valve clearances to be maintained without need for manual adjustment. they sit under buckets but sometimes due to various reasons the lifters can become weak and also the buckets can stick .the valves then dont seat properly on their seats and compression is lost.this will cause a misfire
