hi i have solved the problem you need to takt the speedo out unplug the blue and yellow plugs then remove all the silver screws including one in the middle pull the speedo apart and you will find some silver prong slightly bend them but be very careful not to snap them this will make better contact put back together and it should work i did mine a week ago and it still works fine . I GOT THIS INFO OFF THE HONEST JOHN WEBSITE IF YOU SEARCH PEUGEOT 406 SPEEDO FAULTS THEN CLICK ON HIS WEBSITE YOU SHOULD FIND IT ..
