2002 Peugeot 406 changed battery-- engine immobliser

hi changed the battery on a 406 turned ignition on up comes an engine immobliser fault, engine wont turn over , disconnected it and reconnected it an was cleared , car started if i leave the car over night the fauls returns , it a new top of the range battery, and has been tested all is good , i dont have a key pad thing all i have to do is reset the radio etc.
any suggestions welcom

This tells you how to carry out a re-synch of key , don't know if you tried that ?
