Complete loss of power

2001 Peugeot 406 GLX petrol
Car: Peugeot 406
Year: 2001
Variant: GLX petrol
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
210,000 MILES
Starts fine: Anti pollution and engine warning on.
Runs for about a minute then loses power completely. Will not pull at all. Have new new fuel sensor fitted as this was not functioning correctly ran fine for a week then problem started again, now when by local garage tested gives code for "Weak mixture". Currently undriveable as it doesn't reach the bottom of the road

Given the "anti pollution" warning I'd be having a look at the Cat.

"Anti pollution" is just a generic for anything to do with the engine management system....It could well be the cat but given that you are getting a weak mixture fault it could be an air leak somewhere....have the connectors to the ecu been checked for signs of water ingress..it could be a number of things an air leak after the airflow meter is favourite
