2005 Peugeot 406 no reeving to the car

When you start the car there is not reeving. so it cant move even if you press the pedal for petrol it is not moving.

This could be the accelerator cable. Check that the linkage in the engine bay moves properly when you press the pedal. The cable could stretch, snap, or be missing its metal clip on the bracket.
