2002 Peugeot 406 hazards flashed a few times when braking

Car: Peugeot 406
Year: 2002
Variant: 110 HDI eatate
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi everyone, my new 406 has suddenly flashed the hazards a few times when I braked at the top of a hill, the brakes also made a slightly rough grinding noise but it passed mot end December and no other brake warning lights are on.. the ABS warning (Amber) light does comes on intermittently and the previous owner told me this was a sensor (?). Car has full service history and 131k on clock. Mot til December. My last 406 was written off by a van last year but never encountered this one
. Help please..
Many thanks
Kate

the grinding noise is probably the abs cutting in.this can happen if a sensor rotor is broken or misaligned
