First thing I would check would be pedal switches .

I checked the switches as suggested and all appeared o.k. I had the steering cowl off and checked the controll stalks again allappeared o.k..At this stage I was about to start changing component working my way up to the expense if changing the e.c.u I started by removimg the l.e.d. sidelights I had fitted 2 months ago and re-fitting the standard 501 bulbs. No difference so I then changed the rear sidelight bulbs. No difference so I then changed the twin fillament stop/tail bulbs and voila the problem was solved??? Upon closer inspection I could see one of the bulb fillaments had stretched out the coil and was wrapped around qne of the posts of the tail light fillament. I dont know how this can have come about but the new bulbs have cured the problem(s) I was getting.
